On behalf of the Scientific Committee I am happy to invite you to Stockholm in September 2010 to the
13th International Symposium on Preparative and Industrial Chromatography and Allied Techniques, SPICA 2010.
The symposium covers various technologies, old and new and I look forward to be inspired by innovations and also creative development of our “working horse” chromatography.
The topics will range from modelling activities to the development of large scale separation and purification processes. Regulatory and economical considerations are topics of interest for many of us and there will be possibilities to discuss this during the 3 day event. The focus will be on both small and large molecules and since we all use comparable techniques but apply them in different ways and with different limitations we should be able to share knowledge and learn from each other. These challenges will also be one topic for the symposium.
As usual Workshops, organized by the Scientific Committee, covering many interesting aspects of the techniques used in the field of preparative and industrial scale purification will be available during Sunday September 12.
As a regular attendee of the SPICA meetings I have always enjoyed the opportunity to meet the mixture of people from industry and academia with so much knowledge and have found these meetings to be very inspiring. It is also a good opportunity to explore the state of the art of equipment and stationary phases on the market.
I encourage everybody involved in the exciting world of chromatography and all related techniques, like crystallisation, filtration, extraction, membranes etc. to come to Stockholm for inspiration and exchange of ideas.
Welcome to Stockholm!
